Kitchen Upgrades

When we moved, Jon and I knew we wanted to do some upgrades to the kitchen. It’s the heart of the home! We decided to add granite (Giallo Ornamental), farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances, and have the cabinets “refaced.” For those of you unfamiliar with refacing, it’s a great option if the layout and structure of your existing cabinetry is fine (and a fraction of the cost). Here’s what they did: added new vinyl finish/trim to the existing cabinets, replaced all the doors, and added new hardware. We also opted for crown moulding, which completely changed the look of the cabinets! We went with a darker wood-look to match the new floors throughout the rest of the house. It all came together so well, and we’re very pleased with the finished product! Now we just need to choose a backsplash. I’m thinking glass tile? Here’s a before & after—what a difference!1531670_10103908137223557_2774792529879643168_o1975223_10103907754490557_1811103309672035817_n
