I absolutely cannot believe that this sweet little boy has been here 6 months already! Where has the time gone? For those of you who don’t know he was 6 weeks early, born at 34+2 weeks because I had a severe liver condition of pregnancy. He had his 6-month check-up today and he is 18% (25.5in) for height and 1% for weight (13lbs 5oz). He’s on track developmentally, except sitting, and even tried his first solids today! He ate his entire bowl of organic oatmeal, and loved every bite. He kept trying to grab the spoon & shove it in his mouth! Hopefully solids will help his weight catch up. He also got his 6-month shots, and seems a bit tired & cuddly today.
So at 6 months Bennett loves reaching for things, bath time, diaper changes, napping with Momma, chewing on his fingers (or anything), and grabbing his toes. He will giggle hard if you tickle him & he’s in the right mood, which is quite possibly the cutest thing ever. He’s still working on sitting, but does just fine in his Bumbo. And as you can see, he lost most of the luscious dark locks he was born with, which were replaced by this adorable blond ‘do.
And his bedroom is almost complete! I can’t wait to post some pics & tutorials soon…I did some fun projects. But even with his room complete, I’m not sure I’ll be able to give up co-sleeping/bed-sharing. To each her own, but I’m extremely comfortable with it, especially with Jon away training a lot. It makes me feel infinitely more secure having both my kiddos in close proximity, especially living in Fayettenam (as it’s called). Anyway, Bennett is a super-sweet, handsome little guy and I love being his Momma & watching him change every day. I took these photos yesterday in our living room on the floor (all-nautral light baby, nothing compares!), and I’m so pleased with how they turned out. Enjoy the many faces of Bennett. ♥
