We’ve got Daddy back!

Jon flew in Thanksgiving Eve! It’s been SO wonderful to have him back. McKenzie and Bennett spent the Thanksgiving weekend enjoying their Daddy’s company. I think it’s pretty obvious what I was thankful for this year. =) Bennett also got to meet his great-grandma (aka GiGi–get it? Great Grandma?). She’s 98 years-old! He also got to meet his Uncle Jacob, too. For the most part, it was a great weekend of food, family, and fun.Thanksgiving1Thanksgiving2On the moving front: we got word last week that they’ll be packing up our house tomorrow (Monday…and yes, they pack for us), and then they’ll load the trucks on Tuesday. We’ll all set off on Wednesday for our new home in North Carolina! Annnnnnd we still have no idea where that’ll be. It’s a wee-bit stressful! Just a little. Hopefully that will be figured out by tomorrow, we found a few prospective houses in great school districts…BUT it’s pretty scary not to know where we’ll be living in FOUR days. Eeek. I’m a huge “planner” so it’s been a little rough for me. I’m also really bummed to be leaving all the wonderful friends I’ve made in Madison. We’ve met some really great people who were there for me for some of the hardest times in my life (like my pregnancy and Bennett’s NICU stay). But I’m so happy to have Jon back for the foreseeable future, and to start our lives together as a family of 4. So, so happy. It’s quite bittersweet for me. ♥

What a joyous holiday for you and the family! The end of your life here in Wisconsin has been a whirlwind, and you’ve been great with “rolling with it.” As you know, you’ll be missed!
