Bennett is 10 Weeks & Daddy’s Almost Done

Our sweet boy is 10 weeks old! I can’t believe how big he’s getting. Last week at his 2 month appointment he was 9lbs 7oz and 22 inches. We can’t wait to see Daddy again, hopefully for Thanksgiving. He’s currently doing the SOPC (Special Operations Preperation Course) in North Carolina, and afterward he’s going straight to “Selection” (basically try-outs) for Army Special Forces, aka Green Berets. Eeek!

I’m SO excited for him, this is what he’s been working toward since he left in March. I haven’t been able to talk to him for the past couple weeks, and we won’t hear from him until November 15th when he’s finished with Selection. It sucks. But on the bright side, when he’s done we’ll know where/when we’re moving! I can’t wait. We’ll be getting a single family house with a fenced-in backyard so I can let the dogs out into the backyard (living in a 2nd floor condo sucks for dogs), and a nice driveway so McKenzie can ride her bike and play. I’m kinda sad because I finally have a great group of friends here in Madison, but I really can’t wait until we’re together again as a family and I can have my partner-in-crime (and life) back. For realsies.IMG_6783IMG_6795IMG_6806IMG_6809IMG_6864

I love the picture of Bennett sleeping with his face smushed – adorable!
