24½ Weeks Pregnant

Oh goodness. Please excuse my dirty mirror and lack of make up…pregnancy can make you feel nasty. And lazy. But Baby Boy is starting to pop out a bit more, see? Still no stranger comments though!

How far along are you? 24 weeks, 5 days.

How big is the baby? Not sure, but I read that my uterus is now the size of a soccer ball. I could see that.

Weight Gain? 10lbs now…but only about 11 weeks to go.

Maternity clothes? I got some more tank tops and actual maternity leggings this week. SO much more comfy than my workout pants. And no awkward seams or lines.

Stretch marks? Still just tiny ones on my inner thighs & boobs.

Sleep: Sleep has been less than ideal. Still waking up with poltergeist scratches. =(

Best moment this week? Seeing the baby again via ultrasound for my first Growth Scan! He’s getting so big. He’s about 2lbs now, meaning he’s gained a pound this month. They said he was  in the 60th percentile.

Movement? Yep! SO much stronger & more frequent.

Food cravings? Cheesy Garlic Bread (dipped in marinara) from Noodles & Co. YUM.

Food aversions? Meat. Yuck.

Labor signs? I’m having some Braxton Hicks, nothing actual labor-related though.

Gender? BOY!

Symptoms? Cholestasis of Pregnancy, Carpal Tunnel of Pregnancy. I really feel pretty good, aside from the itching.

Belly button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? Off now. That Carpal Tunnel thing makes my hands go numb occasionally, and the rings worsen it.

Happy or moody? Happy…for the most part.

What I miss: Not itching. =/ And consequently, sleeping through the night.

What I am looking forward to: Seeing Jon again next month. =)

So below is McKenzie’s 20 week ultrasound (top), next to Baby Boy’s 24 Week Growth Scan. I think their profiles are SO similar!Yawning, nose on the left, black hole is open-mouthed yawn.

Their profiles are similar!
Garlic bread sounds amazing – I haven’t been to Noodles for a long time. I normally get their Japanese Pan Noodles.
Did you end up buying Gap or Old Navy maternity leggings?

I highly recommend the cheesy garlic bread! I usually used to get the Japanese Pan noodles (w/o Sprouts). Yum. As for the maternity leggings, I actually went with some from Motherhood Maternity. They have the full belly panel, but oh well. I had something to return from last week, so I got in-store credit!

You are so cute and tiny! It is hard to believe that we are both 6 months but my belly is 10 times the size. At least you won’t have any weight to lose after baby boy arrives!
Looking great!

Oh my gosh Carin, you’re being too nice! Haha. And I’d rather be “showing” than in the awkward “Is she, or isn’t she?” phase. Plus, I have more to lose anyway. ;) I certainly did not have your amazing abs when this pregnancy began! Hope you have fun on your trip!
